  • Added iron that is non-constipating and easily absorbable

The Mother Nutrient Prenatal/Postnatal and Nursing Support helps women in the preconception, pregnancy, and breastfeeding period nourish their bodies of essential vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and other important nutrients. Many multivitamins fail to address the unique nutritional needs of pregnant, postpartum, and nursing mothers. Not ours, mothers can be confident that they are providing their bodies with key nutrients their bodies need. The 20 essential vitamins, minerals, and trace elements that make up the formula use the most bioavailable and tolerated forms so that the body can absorb the nutrients easily.

Vitamin D

Many women begin pregnancy while being deficient in vitamin D, which plays an important role in immune function and proper placental implantation.1 In addition, for the first 6 months postpartum, nursing mothers are typically the baby’s sole source of Vitamin D. With 2000 IU per serving, the Mother Nutrient Prenatal/Postnatal and Nursing Support will provide sufficient levels of Vitamin D to support the high demands of pregnant, postpartum, and nursing women.

Folate

Folate is important for the normal development of the fetus, starting from when before you even know you are pregnant. It plays a significant role in neural tube development and is known to prevent risks of neural tube-related birth defects. Studies have shown that folic acid, the synthetic form of folate which is commonly used in prenatal vitamins, is not metabolized properly in many people.2 Our product provides 1,360 mcg DFE (800 mcg) of folate as methylfolate, the biologically active (and therefore most absorbable) form found in the body.

Iron

Iron is essential in maintaining oxygen-carrying healthy red blood cells, and aids in energy production and immune function.† Because of its high need during pregnancy, it is becoming more common for women to become anemic during pregnancy and following

birth. Not getting enough iron means you can feel fatigued, dizzy, and weak, which can interfere with your ability to care for your baby. It can be challenging to get all of the iron you need through food, so my supplement can help you get the adequate amount you need. It is offered in the most bioavailable and tolerated form, which means less commonly problematic symptoms like constipation.

Choline

Despite its importance in healthy embryonic and fetal brain development, most prenatal vitamins do not contain choline. In addition, since large amounts of choline are transferred to your baby during pregnancy and through breastmilk, the majority of women do not meet the recommended daily intake of 450 mg during pregnancy and 550 mg during lactation. Our Prenatal/Postnatal and Nursing Support are one of the few supplements that contain choline, which is in its bioavailable form, phosphatidylcholine.
